Jermann Vintage Tunina

Vintage Tunina from Sauvignon grapes, Chardonnay with Ribolla Gialla additions, Malvasia and a small percentage of autochthonous sweet wine. It should be emphasized that it is a real blend. It has a bright straw color with golden reflections. The scent is intense, large, of great elegance and persistence, with hints of honey and wildflowers. It has a dry taste, soft, very harmonious, with exceptional persistence, due to the particularly full body. It goes well with first truffles, with great variety of fish dishes, especially baked and sauced, but he also gets to marry white meats. The memory of his encounter with a fresh salmon pad stuffed with parmesan and artichokes is splendid.

The first evidence of the grapes dates back to the harvest 1973 and the first vintage offered for sale with this name and label was the vintage 1975. In this particular grape variety a selection of the best grapes is made which are harvested late, about two weeks after the normal harvest on an area of ​​approx 16 has vineyards cultivated on the Ronco del Fortino. The training systems used are guyot-cappuccina, with 6000-7000 vines per hectare and with a yield of 40 – 60 quintals. The name Tunina refers to the old owner of the land on which the original vineyard is located and is dedicated to the poorest lover of Casanova, who was a housekeeper in Venice who, in fact, was also called Tunina (Antonia).
