Questo vitigno fu portato a Ischia da Napoli nell’Ottocento per salvarlo dalla fillossera e proprio la sua provenienza da fuori dell’Isola ha dato all’uva il nome di Forastera o Furastiera, Forestiera and Frastera. From these grapes, hand picked, a white full of character is born, with intense citrus aromas and pleasantly dry and mineral on the palate. This wine is so fresh and balanced that it is perfect not only for an aperitif with fish and carpaccio canapés but also with more elaborate dishes, stuffed mussels, crostacei e coniglio all’ischitana.
