The grape of the Greco di Tufo grape is characterized by a coloring matter content superior to other white Campania grapes. For this reason, when ripe, it has a beautiful golden yellow color with amber tones on the side of the sun. The must is yellow-ocher tending to reddish. The wine, if not subjected to clarifications, it is intense golden yellow. Giallo d’Arles is an extreme and rigorous interpretation of Greco di Tufo. It is a cru produced with grapes from the Giallo d 'Arles vineyard located in Tufo. The ancient golden-yellow color, typical of the denomination, it is made even more intense by the short stay, during fermentation, in small oak barrels and the complete absence of clarification interventions. It is a white wine with a red structure, powerful and refined, characterized by a deep melted minerality with notes of apricot and quince jam and a full and fresh taste. Giallo d’Arles also has an extraordinary predisposition to bottle aging by earning, over the years, in elegance, complexity and harmony. The name given to the wine is a tribute to the color preferred by Van Gogh during the whole period spent in Arles: a yellow prelude to red.
